Free for Families Living in ISD 200

Children 17 and under can receive three shelf-stable, brown-bag lunches per week, picked up by their parent/guardian through our drive-thru lane once weekly (kid-friendly jokes included!).
What are the qualifications?
Families must live in the boundaries of ISD 200. Lunches are available for children only, ages 17 and under, who live in your immediate family's household. Enrollment is required to receive lunches.
What's included in the lunch?
Lunches are brown-bag style and shelf-stable. Items will vary but typically include a non-crust sandwich or microwave meal cup, cheese stick, whole fruit, and chips.
How do I pick up lunches?
You will schedule to pick up lunches once weekly, on a day of the week convenient for you, Monday thru Friday. Lunches must be picked up during a window of 11:30am to 12:30pm on your scheduled day in our drive-thru lane. A friendly HFS volunteer will check you in and bring your lunches to your vehicle.
Do I need to pick up on the same day every week?
No. You are limited to picking up one time per week, however can change your pickup day for each week scheduled in advance. For example, if you'd like to pick up on a Monday one week and on a Thursday the next week, you can do so. Note that once you schedule you must pick up on your scheduled day of the week from 11:30am to 12:30pm.
What if I will be gone or do not need lunches for a week?
You can simply not schedule for any weeks that you do not wish to pick up lunches.
Can someone else pick up the lunches for me?
You must complete a form with HFS to designate a specific proxy to pick up for you. Any person picking up meals on your household's behalf must have a proxy on file.
How do I enroll?
Parents/guardians may call HFS at 651-437-7134 beginning May 26 to register your household and schedule your June pickup dates. Families can register at any time throughout the summer.
How do I schedule pickup appointments?
You must call HFS to schedule as follows:
- Call by May 26 or after to enroll and schedule June pickup dates (service begins June 8).
- Call by June 22 or after to schedule July pickup dates.
- Call by July 27 or after to schedule August pickup dates.
