Give to the MAX Day Results

The 15th annual Give to the Max day was held throughout Minnesota on November 16, raising $34.2 million dollars for 6,615 nonprofits and schools throughout the state.  Also known as the great Minnesota Give-Together, this online giving event is a day when Minnesota shows the world what unparalleled generosity looks like.

Hastings Family Service exceeded their goal of $65,000 for the event including $20,000 in matching funds given by the American Veterans Post 1 and generous HFS volunteers/donors, with a final total of $66,363 raised.

“Events like Give to the Max day and Gobble Gait are more important that ever this year since we’ve seen tremendous growth in need in all of our programs, especially the Market food shelf,” says Amy Sutton, HFS Executive Director. She indicated that Market food programs have grown by 68% from August 2022 to August 2023.  “HFS is blessed to be part of the Hastings community.  We are privileged to be the hands and feet of the work, but this community is the heart and soul that makes it all possible.”

Several area nonprofits, organizations and schools received support on Give to the Max day.  According to GiveMN, donations were received this year from 87 MN counties, all 50 states, and 39 countries around the world.  Since 2009, Give to the Max day has raised more than $300 million. Thank you to all who contributed to the causes you care about!
